Real Estate Classes That Fit Your Life: How CFREE Anywhere Works

Short answer: CFREE Anywhere is a flexible real estate licensing course from the Center for Real Estate Education that lets you take each session in person, live on Zoom, or self-paced online, and switch between those formats as your schedule changes. It is available for licensing in New Jersey, New York, and Florida at recareercenter.com.

I have been running a real estate school since 2018, and if there is one thing I have learned in that time, it is this: the students who fall out of a licensing course usually are not the ones who could not handle the material. They are the ones who could not handle the format they picked.

I think about a woman who enrolled with us a while back. She had not sat in a classroom in twenty years. She had a job, a household, and a schedule that belonged to everybody but her, so a self-paced online real estate course looked like the obvious answer. Log in when you can. No commute. No fixed nights.

She got about two weeks in and told me it was not working. Not because the material was too hard. Because there was no one there. She would read a section, get to something that did not click, and have nowhere to put the question. There was no instructor to ask. There was nobody sitting next to her saying “wait, I did not get that part either.” She had underestimated how much she needed a room.

So she started coming to live class, and it turned around. She learned better with an instructor in front of her and classmates around her. But here is the part she liked most: on the weeks when work ran long or something came up at home, she still had the self-paced material sitting right there on her dashboard. She used it to cover a class she could not make. She used it to go back over the sections that gave her trouble. She was not choosing between two products. She was using both.

That is why CFREE Anywhere exists.

What is CFREE Anywhere?

CFREE Anywhere is the flexible learning delivery program for real estate licensing courses at the Center for Real Estate Education. Instead of picking one format at the start and living with that choice for the next four months, you pick your format session by session.

Every one of the 20 topics in the course is it’s own Session. For each one, you choose your lane:

  • In person. Sit in a classroom with a licensed instructor.
  • Live online. Join that same class on Zoom from wherever you are.
  • Self-paced. Work through the topic on your student dashboard on your own schedule.

Agency in person on a Tuesday night. Financing on Zoom from your kitchen table because your car is in the shop. Real estate math self-paced at eleven at night after the kids are down. All of it counts. All of it moves you forward.

One thing makes that possible.

The sessions are independent. Each one is a complete topic that stands on its own, and they do not build on each other. There is no lecture two that only makes sense if you were there for lecture one. Miss a live class and you have not fallen behind a sequence, because there is no sequence to fall behind. You just take that topic another way.

Can you switch between online and in-person real estate classes?

At most schools, no. You buy the online course or you buy the classroom course, and switching means starting over or paying twice.

At the Center for Real Estate Education, yes. That is the entire point of CFREE Anywhere. Your enrollment covers all three formats, and you choose fresh at every session. Nobody has to predict on day one how they are going to learn best in month three.

Why learning options matter when you are studying for the real estate exam

There is a myth in adult education that flexibility is the soft option. That the serious students show up in person and everybody else is looking for a shortcut.

I have graded enough exams to tell you that is not how it works.

Some people learn by hearing it. They need an instructor to say “adverse possession” out loud, walk through a story about the neighbor who mowed six feet past the property line for twenty years, and then answer the question forming in the back of the room. Reading that same concept on a page does nothing for them.

Other people need to sit with it. They want to read the definition, close the book, read it again, look up an example, and think about it for a while without a room full of people waiting on them. Put that person in a fast-paced live class and they will spend the whole night three sentences behind, quietly panicking.

Most people are some combination, and the combination shifts depending on the topic. I have watched students who love live class for contracts switch to self-paced for real estate math, because math is the one subject where they need to rewind the explanation four times and nobody wants to be the person asking an instructor to repeat it four times.

That is not weakness. That is knowing yourself.

And most of the time, you do not actually know yourself in this particular way until you are already in it. The woman I told you about did not know she needed a classroom until she tried studying without one. She could not have picked correctly on day one, because on day one she did not have the information yet.

Life is the other variable

Even if you did have one perfect learning style, you do not have one perfect schedule. You have a job. You may have a second job. You have children, or parents, or both. You have a car that will pick the worst possible week to break down.

The old model asked you to guarantee, in advance, that for the next several months you would be free at the same time every week. Nobody can honestly promise that. So students would promise it anyway, life would happen, and then they would quietly disappear.

We built CFREE Anywhere so that a bad week is a bad week and not the end of your real estate license. Miss Tuesday’s live class? Take that session self-paced on Sunday. Nothing is lost. You just took a different road to the same place.

Which states does the Center for Real Estate Education serve? New Jersey, New York, and Florida.

The real point

The real estate exam does not care how you learned it. It asks the same questions whether you sat in Hackensack on a Tuesday or watched the session from your couch in your pajamas at midnight.

So the only question that matters is what actually gets the material into your head and keeps you enrolled long enough to sit for it.

For some of you that is a classroom. For some of you that is a dashboard at midnight. For most of you, honestly, it is going to be a little of both depending on the week.

You should not have to guess right on day one. With CFREE Anywhere, you do not have to.
