I have been running a real estate school since 2018, and if there is one thing I have learned in that time, it is this: the students who fall out of a licensing course usually are not the ones who could not handle the material. They are the ones who could not handle the format they picked.
I think about a woman who enrolled with us a while back. She had not sat in a classroom in twenty years. Most people are some combination, and the combination shifts depending on the topic. I have watched students who love live class for contracts switch to self-paced for real estate math, because math is the one subject where they need to rewind the explanation four times and nobody wants to be the person asking an instructor to repeat it four times.
That is not weakness. That is knowing yourself.
And most of the time, you do not actually know yourself in this particular way until you are already in it. The woman I told you about did not know she needed a classroom until she tried studying without one. She could not have picked correctly on day one, because on day one she did not have the information yet.
Even if you did have one perfect learning style, you do not have one perfect schedule. You have a job. You may have a second job. You have children, or parents, or both. You have a car that will pick the worst possible week to break down.
